overexposure when used outdoors

Please help, every time I use my Optio A10 outdoors it overexposes. When I am taking the photo, the image on the LCD is fine, but when it has been taken, it is pretty much completely white. I don't know all that much about cameras, I have tinkered around with the settings and it is happening on all of them. I usually just use it on Auto and the quality is usually really good, but all of a sudden this has started happening. There hasn't been a major incident that's happened, like it getting wet or being dropped, so I don't know why it would happen all of a sudden. If anyone has any ideas I'd be really grateful. I can usually fix things like this but I'm stumped this time and very frustrated!

I would go outside the house, set the ISO to 100 and take a picture to see what's the difference.

If it is back to normal, reset the camera to Auto and take another picture for comparison.

The Pentax also has a really low quality CCD and processor that can't handle too much or too little light. Like Bukit said, try changing the ISO, and if that doesn't work I think you may be out of luck and will need a new camera. Also try resetting the camera, you may have changed some other settings like white balance.
