lcd screen will not show up to take or review pictures

This sounds like a possible wiring issue within the camera. Depending on your purchase date, you may still have warranty coverage on this camera. I would contact Pentax customer service to check your options. Good luck.

Also, turn on the camera and try pressing your DISPLAY/OK button once to make sure the display is turned on.

I have the same problem with my camera. Put fresh batteries in power on the camera, LCD screen powers on for 2 seconds then turns off. However the zoom seems to still work. The green on light says the camera is on. But no LCD screen. Power off and on again LCD screen comes on for a second then powers off.
Could this be the internal batter for the date and time causing this problem? The camera worked before just started functioning like this.
