Pentax E10 white screen

The lens extends but after that .....I have only the white screen.
Using new, energizer rechargeables,...fresh off the charger.
Bought it new, used it a few times, did not drop it.

You could have some condensation that's causing it. Try putting it in a bowl with some uncooked rice for a few hours. Yes, I said uncooked rice. Or some of those packets you get with electronics that are designed to keep condensation away.

Or even the batteries you're using - even though fresh - could be under powered. And, even though you think you've put in fresh batteries, underpowered batteries are just as bad. At the very least, make sure you are using Alkalines. Even better, batteries with a higher mAh - like around 2500mAh would satisfy the higher power requirements of your camera.

But then again, you don't need to look too far to get the widespread belief that this camera is just a nightmare design. It's in the bottom 3% in EVERY category.
