This question has replies but the author has not yet indicated whether it's answered after a long time. Can you answer the question, or post a clarifying follow-up?

Well, you can get Win98 drivers here. That's about it. However, You can easily get the pics off your SD card with a cheap $20 memory card reader. Also, try Picasa. It's a much better photo management tool. And it's free!

S-Sw47 consists of 4 softwares : Direct X, ACDSee for PC, Quicktime and E10 driver for Win98 and of course the online Product Registration, if you just bought your E10.

If you search the net, Direct X and Quicktime can be downloaded free of charge, while ACDSee photo editor will cost you $49.99

You really don't need the Win98 driver unless you are stuck with it. If that is the case, the Pentax self support lets you download the driver.

The only advantage of S-SW47 is the free copy of ACDSee which view and edit the photos.
However, there are many free photo viewers that you can download from the net, and you need not stick to ACDSee if you are not prepared to fork out $49.99.
Some of the popular ones are Irfanview, Picasa 2 or even ALSee which can be dowloaded at this site

To sum it up, you don't miss the S-SW47 if you don't have it, unless the online Product Registration is what you are most concerned about.
