It won't playback the sound in camera. Have you tried on your PC?

Well, you don't really need to connect the camera. My recommendation is to invest in a USB memory card reader. Plug your SD card into it and your pc will read it as a drive. Then it's a simple drag and drop onto your PC. Then it'll play and you'll hear the sound.

As mentioned, the specs say that the camera does not playback sound.

The original package comes with 2 cables, a mini B to USB cable and a mini B to TV cable.

Connect the camera to the TV with the mini B cable and you will be able to watch the video with sound, playback by the camera. ( the PC/AV terminal is on the side of the camera. )

To watch the video on computer, you need the mini B to USB cable which costs $0.95 each. see http://www.iofast.com/index.php/cPath/29_154?osCsid=6pdkg8phqns2emt032egiivqe5

You may also copy the video clips to the computer using a card reader.
In both cases, your computer needs a media player to play the video with sound.

Well, Aislin, without a new cord, you're watching silent movies. Simply put, the camera isn't designed for playback. You'll have to get the videos over to your PC or play it on your TV. Either way will require new cords. Or a USB card reader.

Aislin,

The camera plays back everything you recorded.
You can't listen to the sound because the camera does not have a speaker, just like many MP3 players.

Try to get one of the the cables, as I have mentioned in my last reply, and you should be able to listen to the recorded sound on the TV, or computer if you so prefer.

If you choose to copy the files to the computer with a card reader, you will need Windows Media Player or the like to watch the videos and listen to the sound at the same time.

We will help you along if there are any more problems.

Depends on the age of computer, you may be having a sound card or an embedded sound chip.
In either case, you need to install the sound software before it will play any sound.

On top of that, you will need a suitable media player that plays both the video as well as the sound.
