Make sure your camera is on. Also make sure you have installed any drivers that came with the camera. If you no longer have the CDs that came with it, you can probably find the drivers online for download.

I highly recommend buying a card reader instead. They are about 15 dollars, available almost anywhere (Walmart and Target are great places for them) and they hold your memory card and plug into your USB slot. No having to deal with drivers, and saves wear and tear on your camera.

For the benefit of those who have similar problem, just note that there is no E10 driver for XP.
It is not that E10 is not compatible with XP, rather it is XP that don't need a driver to recognise E10.

What you need to do is after connecting the camera to the computer, turn it on , go to the menu and select PC.
Thats about all you do to get XP to recogize the camera and let you download the pictures.

Normally, you would also connect the camera to an external power supply because downloading may take sometime and needs a lot of battery power.
That is where a card reader works better in tranfering pictures instead of using the camera itself.
