Try this :
a. install PC Driver from the Software Disk S-SW47 to the computer.
b. turn camera on, set to PC camera
c. connect camera to computer via a USB cable.
d. wait for computer to complete installing the camera
2. goto Start > Programs > Accesories > Communications > Netmeeting > Video
3. turn video off and your camera will show the picture it captures on the screen.
As a webcam, the camera needs a lot of battery power.
Forget about alkaline batteries & rechargeable batteries.
For this purpose, only AC adaptor can meet the power requirement.
