what camera to buy?? Skiing, boating, sports, kids, etc...

would like something small, with great quality, with a battery that will last. We do have HDTV, and I work on an APPLE... any thoughts?

The HV20 is a good choice if editing to a MAC. Particularly because of that 24p movie mode that makes your video look like film. Another option is the Sanyo Xacti HD2, which shoots in mpeg4 on SD cards - great for sports cameras as they fit in your pocket. But it's ratings aren't very high yet.
