Has anyone have experience with the A100 and older MD lenses using an adapter. I have loads of MD lenes from my STR-202 through X-700 days?

Has anyone have experience with the A100 and older MD lenses using an adapter. I have loads of MD lenes from my STR-202 through X-700 days and need to go digital. Is it worth getting the Sony and an adapter or replace all those expensive lenses, something I really don't want to do.

You can use these lenses and this camera with an MD-->AF adaptor... there are some limitations though.

-Stop down metering only
-No automated stuff (auto focus, image stabilization will not work)
-Manual center-weighted metering only
-Minor image softness and field curvature caused by the adaptor.
-The adaptor is a teleconverter and has a multiplier, depending on what brand you buy it is 1.2x or 2x.
-Some scene modes etc. may not work.

I have seen these adaptors on Ebay, other than that not sure where to buy them, but they are out there.

I just got an adapter. I dont notcie a big difference except wide angle lense. I got 4 MD lenses and I think it worths to stick with Sony/Minolta camera. I got the adapter from local shop. I could not find that online (only 1 on ebay). It costs me $40 dollars. The camera itself is an excellent camera so I think it worths the investment.
