Sony will repair your failed or malfunctioning CCD
(Mike - 9/10/06)Excellent camera - Sony will repair for free if your CCD failed or is failing. Contact Sony and they may authorize you to ship at their expanse the camera to Texas for repair and will ship it back for free. My was fixed and back within two weeks and it is better than new.
