Sony stands behind it

We have owned our DSCF717 since late December 2003, and it's been the best camera we have ever owned. Like so many others, the CCD unit was defective had to be replaced, but Sony paid for the repair and shipping, and it arrived back at home...one week to the day from when we had sent it off.

We have been able to capture special moments and scenes from many holidays, birthdays, reunions, weddings, parties, family vacations, and a hundred other things.

It's tempting to think of purchasing a new camera with higher resolution (translate: higher megapixels), but the photo quality has been so consistently good, we're very satisfied with it. We can produce near-professional grade photographs with a camera designed for everyday use.

This has to be one of the best products Sony has ever made, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a good quality, mid-priced digital camera.
