My DSC-717, is not correct funtion, when shot a picture save this with snow white??

Hi Xavier,

There have been a number of failures with F717s over the past couple years, and Sony has put out a recall for affected models. It's possible that your problem might be related.

When you preview your image in the viewfinder/LCD, does it appear correctly or is it scrambled? Does the distortion only happen once the photo is saved?

I have the same problem. The image looks normal on both viewfinder and LCD, but becomes white-out after it is taken and reviewed. I downloaded images to my PC, and it looks white-out, too.

Xavier and Mike,

Did you get your camera fixed and how? I have the simliar problem, the camera is about 5 years old. The image looks fine on LCD and viewfinder but when I click to take it, it is white-outed the whole picture. Let me know. We have reset it to default setting, still the same problem.

We use this camera VERY often, sure can't wait to get it fixed.
