I bought the camera in May 2003 & taken some 30,000 pics with it and yesterday it started to bleed a yellow tint on the image. What would cause that?

Well, other than the fact that you've shot a boatload with it, that model - along with several others - suffered from faulty ccds which causes the problems you're referring to. The good news is that even though your camera has been well used and the warranty expired, SONY will replace the faulty CCD for free if they determine it to be the cause.

Thank you James. I appreciate your answer. I had the chip replaced last year when the lens box went black and offered no image. Maybe the CCDs have a short life span? When the camera works properly it sure does take some awesome pics. I'll take your advice and see if I can get it fixed; otherwise I'll be camera-less for the rest of the year!...
