Great all-rounder

( - 12/9/04) This is the ultimate gadget for me. I was so keen I bought it from the USA, even though I'm in the UK. The movie quality is great, especially when viewed on TV. I was really impressed having seen the quality of previous movie modes on other digital cameras. I was looking to get a camcorder, but also wanted a good stills camera. Well, here's the answer. OK, you can't record hours of video, but when Sony bring out the 1GB card, you can get a whole hour on one. I really wanted it for snowboarding and I'll only be taking a few minutes of video at a time so this is perfect. The photos are great quality too at 5.1mp. Lots of manual settings to allow you to create some really great pictures. There are a few teething problems with it, but nothing that is serious at all. I am extremely happy. Oh, and it looks great too.
