My advice is to pass on the M1 (DC Resource - 3/10/05)

The Sony DSC-M1's performance does not justify its high price. While the video mode is impressive, it is not that much better than video shot with less expensive digital cameras (though the M1 does allow for longer recording times). The unusual design of the M1 makes it awkward to handle. read original review
