i dont have tje installer to upload pics.where can i get one or is it possible to download it anywhere?

All of the software for a Sony camera, or any other camera is almost always available through their website, no matter how old it is. The site for sony is http://esupport.sony.com.

My recommendation is to invest in a $10 USB memory card reader and simply take your card out and plug it in. The PC will read it as a drive and it's a simple drag and drop to get your pictures onto the PC for editing and printing.
