There is no memory space left and the folder is 102. It says there is no file in this folder. I have tried to change the file and it stays on 102 instaed of going to 101.

Joanne,

The folder is based on how many pictures you have taken on the card. If you have filled up the space, moving to a different folder on the same memory card won't work. You either have to download the images to your computer and clear the card, or purchase a new card to continue taking pictures on it.

Thanks for replying so promptly Andrew, but it doesn't help at all. I'm aware that I have to download before continuing, but I still can't use the memory card because it just says that there's no memory space and there are no files in the folder. The photos were apparently downloaded before this happened. I suspect my daughter has changed something although she isn't aware of it. I changed memeory cards and don't have a problem. The problem is only with one particular memory card. ???????

Joanne,

You might also check to see if the card is locked. There should be a toggle along the edge of it that moves up and down. If not, you might try formatting the card while it is in the camera. If neither of those options work, I'd say it has gone bad.
