my P200 seems to have a bug on the inside of the lens, Sony wants to replace the enitre lens for $150!! Is there another option?

I know it is on the inside of the lens because ive cleaned the outside several times. also, the black winged image transfers to my computer when i upload the photos. i have talked with best buy(no help), sony headquarters (they want to replace the entire lens), and so now i am here. I love my P-200 but it will be hard to replace the lens in a 2 year old camera for $150, without thinking of buying a new one, but then im going to spend $250 when all i need is clean lens.......

I am sorry to say that there isnt much you can do. I mean you could get some tiny tools and open the camera yourself, but that will probably end up with more issues. Is the bug alive? If so it may have laid eggs! This is a tough problem.

Andrew, did you have any luck? Did you attempt to fix this, or get it repaired? Just curious in case the question comes up again. Let us know how it went/ if you still need help.
