Sony Cybershot on/off button is stuck

My Sony Cybershot(dsc-s600) on off switch is stuck now..It was fine until minutes ago..I am not able to release it..Do u have any ideas for solving the problem??

I'd run some alchohol on a qtip over the area and blow it out with canned air. You may have some grit or dirt stuck in there and it needs to work it's way out. Then reset your camera.

This used to happen a lot with Sony's older camera, because they used cheap parts inside of their cameras. I think the S Series still uses the cheaper parts, and what's also very likely is that the button mechanism under the silver on/off broke, and you would need to get it replaced if James' above solutions don't work.
