Well, simply resetting (or reinitializing) the camera back to it's factory defaults would solve that issue if you did. However, there seems to be several users who have complained that over time, the camera picks up this kind of fault. A repair may be your only solution. But without the warranty, which is expired, your camera may cost more to repair than it is worth. Rule of thumb is that if it costs 50% or more of the sale price to fix it, you're much better off getting a new one that will give you more bang for the buck.
