after banging the camera it started wrking but picture is very dull..not like b4...pls help...

Well, I wouldn't be deliberately banging your camera as you can very easily make things worse. But since you got lucky and it's working again, it may be that your white balance is off. Try resetting/initializing your camera to reload the firmware and restore it to your factory default settings. If that doesn't help, then it may be that your camera's CCD is failing. And with it's relative age and no warranty, it may be time to get a new camera. Average cost of a camera repair is $180 and rule of thumb says if it costs north of 50% what you paid to repair it, you're better off getting a new one.
