DSC-P52 captures blurry pictures when in "zoom"?

When taking a regular picture,pictures are ok.But when in "Zoom" mode,pictures are blurry?Any idea what could cause this??

Well, by the general way it works, when you're zoomed in more, the slightest movement with a camera will cause a big shift on the screen. This is an older camera, made in 2003, so it probably doesn't have the super steady shot, or much of an image stabilizer in it. I also don't think it has any manual controls, to control the ISO and/or the fstop. So your best bet is to make sure you are very steady while you're in zoom, or use a tripod when zooming. Both of those can be kind of a pain, but there really isn't any other solution, besides making sure you're always shooting in a lot of light. If you could afford it, it would be a good investment to get a new camera, one with a super steady shot (basically all of them have it now), the picture quality will be significantly better.
