Motor/Lens problem

After about a year, the motor for the lens started making noise after shutting off. It would not focus wide angle but took great pictures otherwise. It finally gave up the ghost and the lens would not extend all the way and the camera would power down. I wanted to be able to use the memory card we have and decided to buy a used one off Ebay. It had a similar problem but would not happen all the time. I was fortunate that the seller was willing to have it returned. I guess I won't buy another one after all. For those reviewers without problems, you seem to be very fortunate and should immediately buy a lotto ticket (before your Sony goes as well).
