I half-regret buying this camera. I'll list some small concerns that I have with it: (1) The bare-minimum delay time between taking pictures is around 1.5 seconds, and even more if you want flash or rendering (2) the shape of the camera makes it difficult to hold and keep steady, often resulting in blurry pictures. (3) It's hard to see the LCD screen at an angle, so you can't accurately aim unless your face is perpendicular to the screen. (4) The focus is automatic and not fine, so 5 MP pictures don't have more detail, just more fine fuzz. (5) Sony cameras use their own type of memory sticks, which cost more.

I think you're better off getting a more camera-specific brand. This camera is neither a serious camera, nor a compact one either.
