My DSCP-92 camera all of a sudden it stopped focussing on a picture and looks blurt on screen. It also flickers. Any idea?

One day my camera stopeed working. It takes very blurt picture and can't focus on one thing. Picture lookes very un focused. Rest of the functions works fine.

Hi Anil,

This sounds like a mechanical issue--probably a problem with your lens--but you should be sure before you make a decision about getting it repaired or not. When you access the camera's menus, are the icons and text blurred, or are they clear? I'm guessing they're clear, while the image is blurred. If this is so, it's probably a mechanical issue with your lens and you're going to need a repair. If you're out of warranty, the cost of the repair is probably going to be fairly substantial, and you might want to consider getting a newer, better camera. You can contact Sony for a repair here.

Good luck!

I found the problem. It is a CCD sensor problem. I back tracked the announcement made by Sony some time back for the same. I did diagnostic and it matches with the symptoms. This is due to some manufacturing defect of CCD sensors in range of cameras and camcoders. Sony will repair this free of cost.
