I can't take picture. Did not drop or any scratch. It's in my purse

Last weekend it was working fine. I put it on my purse with my cell phone. Picture was bad when taking a shot, but all my previous pictures where ok.

Are the batteries dead? having it in your purse, something may be rubbed against the camera turning it on and killing the batteries.

Can you access the menu? if so, reset the camera. This is a fairly easy procedure which involves either going into your setup menu and choosing "reset," holding down the menu key for 5 seconds, or, removing the batteries for a few minutes. It may be that the firmware loading got corrupted and the camera just needs to be "rebooted," which is something that turning it on/off won't accomplish. But after which, you should have the camera reset to factory default settings.

Another tip is to go to Casio's website and look for firmware updates. Download and install them.

Your model is one of those with Sony made CDDs which were indentified as bad. Camera makers already listed out all the models that may develop a symptom like yours with distorted pictures and/or funny colors. Go to Sony site and find their SERVICE ADVISORY regarding these 'BAD' CCDs cameras. These cameras should have been recalled, but they claimed not all cameras of the same models in question would develope such symptom. Good news is, you can bring/send the camera to the authorized service center to get the CCD replaced without charge, they will refund the shipping expenses too. I heard from Sony authorized service centre (in Canada)that Sony lifted the time frame for such free repair, that means to say you can get the CCD replaced any time you want. As far as I know, T1 was newly added to the list, and the original time frame would be due some time next year. I suggest you to act fast before they make any changes again.
For reference information (third party) regarding these bad CCDs cameras, click here
After you read and got the idea of what's going on with your camera, the simplest way is to call sony customer service hotline to give your living location and ask them to give you a couple of their authorized service centre neareast to your location. Bring the camera in if close by, mail in if quite a distance to get there.
I got four Sony cameras' CCDs replaced without paying a cent. Only one camera had the symptom developed, three others were still good. Service centres just want business, don't care good or bad.
Good luck!!
