How can I upload pictures from my camera Cannon Power Shot A 520 to my computer? Merle

Sure. You can easily get the pics off your SD card with a cheap $20 memory card reader. Plug it in and it's a simple drag and drop. Also, try Picasa. It's a great photo management tool. And it's free!

You can also down load using the white cable that connects from your camera into the USB port. Shoud have been included with your camera, if not I am sure you can find one at Radio Shack or any camera store, ebay, amazon et al. It is a standard cable. Canon has several downloads available . I find it easier to use the Scanner/Camera setting found in the control panel (XP). It determines what camera you have and will download into the file you choose. I suggest the My Picture File. From there you can make your file folders. Picasa is a great tool. I have several tools available on my hard drive for various editing, but Picasa from Google is by far my favorite. You can register, save the pics in Cyberspace, send them to WalMart or several other companies for printing.
