why is there a flash sign of "E:62:10",what is it mean and how to delete it?
I have heard about this error in the past, and strangely have never heard why it happens, other than it's a programming error that will have to be repaired. People are frustrated.
One person said that a gentle rap on the battery-cover side of the camera clears the message. You may also try removing the batteries, waiting a few minutes, then putting them back in, or doing a Factory Reset using the Setup menu.
I am also getting the same problem, above that the camera keeps vibrating for some time before i can take snap, please revert back in case you know the solution ....and also if its ok to proceed taking the snaps like this ...because only when the battery is full it works , after 4 - 5 snaps....it starts vibrating when the lens cover is opend....please let me know solution if anyone knows
ela esta mostrando este erro E:62:10
como eu faço para isso sai da minha camera...
obrigado pela oportunidade.
sony says this is not covered in the warranty dammit. this is a freakin bloody scammmmmmm :( i got the error message 3 months after i got my camera on october 2006 for my birthday. its almost a year now. i've sent it for service twice (one for warranty check, another, to repair). each taking about 2 months. (it took them 2 months to tell me that its not included in the warranty. and another 2 months to tell me the cost of repair.) so basically i've only had my camera for 8 months.
ARGH. :(
ps
the mesage you get is translated as lens blocage
They make great cameras but their service sux the big one. Always have. Anything that goes wrong takes like 2 to 3 months. This is precisely why I bought a Dell computer. At least I have some guy show up the next business day if there's a problem. Will never buy a Sony computer again. Their computer service is even worse.
Edit///.......
Ok, fixed the sucker with some good whacks. Here is a support site that goes over the problems with this message........

Same deal, give it a few good whacks and you're back in the black.
Unbelievable. Too funny.
Divide and concour seams to be the coperate way.
"United we stand, divided we get ripped off!"
I tried 'tapping' it a few times. I took the battery out and tapped the battery side. I tapped all sides. For God's sakes I even tapped the battery.
I think 'tap' is the wrong term to use here. I had to beat my camera up pretty badly before the message disappeared. What worked for me: I kept the battery in, took it to picture mode, and just slammed it in every direction I could against my palm. All faces of the camera included.
At least it's gone now. Good luck to everyone who's trying. At least you'll feel good about beating up your camera for being so goddamn annoying.
I also got the E62.10 message flashing on my screen as well and it wasnt my camera either it was borrowed :@ ...so i took ur guys advice, i turned off the camera, tapped it on all 4 sides switched the camera back on and WAAALAH!!! ALL FIXED Very helpful!!! ... Thanks guys :)
i can still take pictures too, but if i zoom in on images i am now taking, the pictures are no longer as crystal clear as they used to be... there is some blur..which doesn't work for me because i use my camera specifically to take shots of detailed embroideries. the stitches are no longer clear.
My camera is the DSC-T9. The error E62:10 started when dropped from about 4 feet to floor.
Judging by this thread mine might be a special case, but hope it might help someone without the need to beat up the camera too bad.
This eliminated all the motor noise (it was constant), and the camera again works perfectly....
First clue was that tapping the same mechanism ridded me of the noises, but generated the error message. Now I am free of both...
That said, this is one of 4 Sony Digital Still cameras we have, or have owned and we won't likely be buying any more. We have had problems with EVERY camera. Sony seems to blame everything on incorrect usage, even sometimes things that THEY have indicated are a known issue. Only once we were able to get a major fix under warranty without cost.
Take the battery out and re-insert it. Hold the camera with your right hand using your pointer finger to hold down the small button at the top right with the "hands symbol" on it depressed. While you are holding this button down, use your left hand to turn on the camera. It is important not to let go of the "hands" button until the error code comes up and it stops shaking(usually 15 seconds). From there you can take normal pictures. Mind you, if you turn off the camera- you will need to repeat the process again. Without opening the camera itself, this has been the only temporary solution I have found.
Beyond this, I am going to get experimental and go inside the case itself and fix it. Most likely after I have a backup camera in case it doesn't work. I will update everyone once I do this procedure with results and pictures.

======
Hello to all I also had the same problem with the error E: 62:12 and I confess that almost enlouquece with pictures of my head and my tip Lerda and machine with this error on the screen, follow the advice to turn off the machine, take the bateira very strong and hit all four sides and made sure the error is gone, the machine was faster and the pictures are not reversed more, thanks to everyone here and this my help to those who are still with the error!
hugs to all
Adriana
I held the camera erect about one to two inches above a wooden table. With two fingers I pinched one of the four corners of the case such that the camera can tilt to the side, still erect but tilted sideways. I let the camera tilt and crash hard on the table surface each corner.
I think with this tilt-bang method you have more control about the force of the bang. If you need more force, raise a little more and repeat till the error disappears. You really need some force!
got the problem today.
Checking, hitting and so on didn`t work.
In my opinion the problem is caused by an inner contact problem of the lens unit.
Somebody wrote it too.
What to do...
I disassemble the camera an checked the "wire" of the lens unit, pressing them a little bit together and then assemble the camera. Switch on and the failure wasn`t there.
Regards from Germany
Has anyone experienced this error with a HDV camera or Z5? And what was Sonys responce?
