How can I fix the "White eyes" on my indoor photos

I have a DSC-T9 which I love for it's portablility and it takes great pictures outside but the inside photos are horrible with red eye or white spots in the eyes which makes the people look like aliens. Is there some setting I can change? I have tried all kinds of settings and still have the problem. All my indoor pictures are ruined because of this. The red eye can be fixed but for some reason the white eye doesn't fix correctly.

Hi Diane,
Are you using the flash? That might be what's causing the bad reaction. Try stepping back from your subjects and zooming in on them rather than being too close with them with the flash. I'm not sure what the range of the flash is on this camera, but if you're in a zone it's not comfortable with it may be reacting badly with their eyes.
