Note on cameras that stopped working

I have had one of these for 3 years and it also stopped working while not being used.

The sensor got broke and all I got was a strange image on the lcd and pictures taken.

I searched for these kind of behaviour and it was explained in the sony website that this is because of a defective batch of sensors used in the camera.

The sensor was replaced free of charge (out of warranty already), I just had to pay for the shipping to the sony repair center.

Of the camera I can say it is a great point and shoot device. Id does that great, you carry the camera everywhere, 2mp are enough for regular prints and batteries last he whole wekend worth of pictures.

In the end, if you just want to take quick pictures about your trips, friends, special moments, this is a great camera to carry around.

People with more speficic demands should look for a more feature rich (usually bigger) device.
