My image sensor just stopped working. Why?

Please provide info on how I get this fixed. I understand Sony installed a bad batch of sensors.

I have other cameras, but this one beats them all in convenience of travel. Please help.

Here's a link that I think refers to your problem- they say they are offering free repairs from Oct. 05 through Oct. 07. Your camera model is listed.

I would assume you can call Sony customer service and get this resolved.
