Blurry Pictures and viewfinder

In the view finder it looks like there is crap on my lens. It is really blurry and washed out in the viewfinder. And when i take a picture it is very blurry. What is the problem?

Bob,

Since the viewfinder has its image routed from the lens, you might have dust in your camera or a scratch on the lens. What did you wash the view finder with? If you used water, you could have done more damage to the camera. This would contribute to the lower quality of your photos. You might take it to a RitzCamera for a cleaning. I'm not sure what they can do though. Good luck.

Andrew
