I own a SONY DSC -V1 and the battery stopped functioning sometime last month...recharchin hasn't helped either.. I just can't switch on my cam anymore.. what should I do?

Call Sony? Generally people love the V1 and don't report many problems at all with it - so I can't offer any concrete advice, unfortunately. Sorry about that, and good luck with your issue.

Hi, I noticed that you havent marked any replies as the best answer. Are you still looking for an answer? If so, I recommend you re-submit it on Digitalcamera-hq.com so it will have a better chance of being noticed. These days it looks like most questions are being answered within a few days. Good luck
