instructions for replacing a Battery Door compartment

I cannot keep the camera door closed completely. Need to replace the door and battery compartment. Will need to order part #175-648-312, but told there is not instructions with this part. Is there anyone who replaced this part and is it hard to do? What instructions can you give me?
Thank you

There are repair manuals floating around the net. You could try this source. You could find it there. I don't know if you really want to mess with replacing it. But I don't blame you. With it's age, it's not really worth paying to have repaired. Tthe average cost of a camera repair is around $180. As such, it'll definitely cost more to repair than it is really worth. The rule of thumb is that if the estimate for repair is north of 50% what you paid for it, you're better off taking that money and buying a newer and upgraded model.

I went to the site, it was for the camera manual. I already have the manual, I need a service manual or instructions from someone who already replaced this door battery holder. Is there anyone who has the instructions on "how to replace the battery holder and door" or has already done it? I don't want to pay the repair charge for an old camera, would like to try and replace it my self, but need instructs.
Thanks

Easy! Looking at back side of battery compartment doort I slid a pen knife between plastic door and the metal plate that closes on batteries. Gently wiggling pen knife back and forth, plastic door slid up and off. Replacement door slid right back on.
