I'd like to know if lense cleaning (probably got dirty due to condensation) covered by warranty or not?

The service wants to charge for new pack of lense, although it is not broken, only dirty. What should I do? It's still under warranty.

We sometimes go out of our way to spend hours, if not days, to search for solutions most favorable to the OPs.

When it comes to warranties, it is a matter quite different from the technical subjects that we can draw upon our experience or from the experiences of people in other forums.

As such, it can only be said that so far nobody has successfully claim a new pack of lenses on the ground that the existing one is dirty due to condensation. This, however, does not stop you from trying and I am sure many people with the same problem would like to know if Sony will entertain such claim.

The camera is in the "service-room" at the moment, and they told me that there is possibility that they will have to replace the lenses with a new pack. However, the User Guide says that condensation can easily occur and that the solution is to turn of the camera, wait for half an hour or an hour and condense will disappear.
This can be interpreted that the camera is prone to condensation, but even if under warranty, if the solution suggested doesn't work, you're going to pay for repairment !?!
I'll wait for the outcome...

bukit97, my on-line frined, I've just received the camera, serviced. They replaced the lenses with a new pack, and sent the old one to the Sony factory. No charge, siad the service-person. You have no idea what relief I felt at the moment.
I guess a nice word and a polite request are still appreciated somewhere.
Thanks once again for the answer.
