Blur prone....

( - 2/27/06)

I guess I maybe expected too much if I wanted a true point and shoot cam. Auto mode is essentially useless. Blurs at the slightest movement of you or subject. P Mode is better, but only real help is the full Manual mode where you can adjust the shutter speed. Default settings for most modes seems to simply have the shutter set too slow to take consistent, blur free pics. "Read the manual", yada yada, I know, I did about 3 times to see what was happening. I shouldn't have to be relegated to full manual mode to take decent indoor pics, it's that plain and simple. And btw, I'm educated enough to figure out the proper settings to get this cam to work great. All I wanted is a simple to use, high quality digicam my wife can operate that takes consistent pics. This camera may be on it's way back to the store because it honestly doesn't perform well indoors in most Auto preset modes. Anyone that tells you different is hiding the truth. Having to mess with shutter, ISO, and EV settings to get consistently good pics is not point and shoot. Indoor picture takers looking for simplicity and quality pics may be disappointed like myself.
