Solving the blur and getting great shots

Due to earlier bad experience I was ready to return my camera and exchange it for a more reliable brand.
Just to make sure that I was doing the right move I called Sony's technical "help" line where they simply could not provide any assistance.
I also visited a local professional photo retailer
who suggested that I keep the camera. He pointed out that the auto setting (1/30 f:2.6) was simply too sensitive to operate the camera without a tripod. He suggested either to use a tripod or
increase the settings.
Both suggestions worked well and since then all my photos (inside or outside shots)are excellent.
Using a manual setting of 1/125 f:5.6 - I get no more blurred pictures. Even the most difficult shots are sharp and bright. I am pleased with the overall performance of this camera and getting more familiar with its features.
Maybe Sony should consider to change their auto settings of W7 - and hire some staff who have more product knowledge!
