Can't seem to get rid of red eye even on reduction setting

How do I get rid of red eyes. I have the camera set to red eye reduction. My daughter's wedding pictures came back with red eyes glowing. Am gong on vacation next week and need an answer soon. Also, when I use the trimming feature, I get a blurring affect. After pressing trimming, what do I set the next screen to? I've been setting it at 7M. The camera is set on Fine. Need answers quick, so as to practice before vacation.

If you're still getting red eye even with the flash set to red-eye reduction, you need to alter the image after it's taken. I use Google's Picassa software - it's free and very easy to use. You simply edit the photo - highlight the person's eyes and the software gets rid of the red.

As I understand it, the Sony trimming effect is to allow you to crop a photo and then save the cropped image as a separate file. If you highlight too small a part of the original image, it may 'pixelate' - look a bit fuzzy due to not having enough density of image points. Try to grab a portion of the image that's a bit larger.

Hope this helps
