Memory Stick Issues

I just purchased this camera and have an issue. The Manual speaks about a Memory Stick duo and not a Memory Stick "PRO" Duo. All of the people at the stores tell me the Pro is designed for this camera but it appears too long and will not "set" properly in the camera. Does it take considerable force to "set" the disc. Once I have inserted the stick in to its' fullest extent there is still about a 1/4" stub protruding from the camera. Is this proper? My fuji camera allows the SDx card to fit flush with the top of the camera. What is going on?

The Pro Duo is the one you need. It should fit without significant force, although there is a little resistance. If you have it turned the right way, it should go right in and be relatively flush with the slot. There will be enough sticking out for you to push down as that is how it pops out. I would think 1/4 is way too much to be sticking out as you won't be able to close the component door.

Thanks for the input. You were correct. After several trips back and forth to various stores, it is as you pointed out the proper way to install and it is the proper stick. What had compounded the issue was and "Adapter" that came with the original stick.

All is well.

Thanks again.
