H50 does not have date stamp.
However, you can use a PictBridge compatible printer to have the date printed on the picture.
Alternatively you may use a third party software to add the date to the picture before printing.

A few such software is available in the market. If you are interested, you may try
Visual Photo time stamp

Thanks for you answer. I have since downloaded Gena Photostamper. It works very well. My old Sony Mavica had the date stamp option. I just dont understand why they have removed this as an option. It seems like NONE of the new cameras have date stamp anymore. I take TONS of pictures of my kids and farm and when I am putting photo albums together it is nice to have the date on there. Well the Gena Photostamper has seemed to solve the problem.

only reason why photographers dont prefer to stamp dates on their pictures is coz its kinda ugly and distracting!
