Smile Shutter vs Face Detection -- What is the difference? Do you need both?

I know there are several features that differ between the Sony H10 and the H50 - one difference is the H10 only has face detection, while the H50 has face detection and smile shutter. Please explain why there is a difference and is it worth it?

Both cameras feature face detection and smile shutter. Face detection will lock focus on faces and ensure they stay focused. Smile shutter goes one step further. In the smile shutter mode, the camera will not take a picture until somebody is smiling. When they smile, the camera automatically takes a picture (up to 6 pictures). I have it on my W170 and it works well.

I see no listing for the H10 having smile shutter. Where do you see that listed?

Other than the amazon listing, I do not see smile shutter referenced as a feature on this camera. Even the sony website does not list it as a feature. I am still curious what the difference is, and why both are needed (or not).
