How to get date imprinted on images while saving on from Sony H9?

I know that I can get the date printed, but I want the date to be a part of image on the file. Suppose I save the image from MC to my computer and want get the prints from a shop. I'll take it on USB drive and submit electronically to get prints, but the date is not seen on the image outside of the camera.

Can anyone please help me how to get the date on the image from Sony H9 without going through another software to edit the image with date. I have Nikon 4800 and prints the date on the image and gets printed always, that's wht I want from H9.
Thanks.

Well, I'm not exactly sure where your problem is, because the Sony camera, I'm sure, saves all of the dates and times to all of the files in EXIF format. But if it would make it easier use a free program to add the date and time stamp such as this one:
http://www.download3k.com/Photo-Graphic/Editors/Download-Visual-Photo-Time-Stamp.html
That will add it on for you, and then you can print your photos.

I know sony keep the date in the image, my question is how to see that date on the image when is saved on the computer. I have Nikon and date is visible on every image, I want to have the date on the images taken by sony H9. I know that I can use third part tools, but is there a way that I can see the date on the image itself when it's saved on the Computer.
Thanks.

No, there really isn't a way to get it "printed" on each picture when the picture is taken, you either have to add it on with a program, or select the option on the printer when you're printing the pictures.

Nikon 4800 has a built in feature known as " Date imprint " , just like Canon camera has a built in feature called " Date Stamp ".

Sony on the other hand has opted for only using Exif data to store the date of the picture.
As such, you will not be able to see the date on the picture.

However, if you want to check the date of the picture on the computer, you can always ' right click' on the picture, and select ' properties '. This will reveal all the Exif data, including the date, and time, picture was taken.

To get the date printed on the pictures without going through a software, you can connect the camera to a ' Pictbridge Compliant' printer.
The printer will let you opt for dates to be printed together with the picture.

BatchStamper is an easy-to-use tool that can batch add text and date/time on multiple digital photos.

That's a good find leal, even though there is a limitation of 5 pics per session.

For unlimited printing per session, pictbridge compliant printer is still the best, because it's already paid for as part of the price of the printer.

Pictbridge or Printing are surely the solutions but is not the answer to my question. I know the date will appear when I get a print, I want to see the date on the picture when I save on PC. Even checking the properties with right clicks is not the actual date, it shows the dat when the image was stored on PC and will change if you store after a month.
Any solution easily implementable is welcome.
Thanks.

I think you may be looking at the wrong information. Yes, there is a modified date on the file, but there should also be data, (it might depending on your windows settings) that appears under "Picture taken on." Even if you can't see this on your Windows or Mac OS, it is always stored with every picture. So, using any of the above solutions will work.

The popularity of time stamp software indicates that it is the best solution for this type of problem and the batch time stamp software brings the convenience a step further.

As these probably would be what the average users would do, besides using Pictbridge compliant printers, there are not much to add.

As a top user, I have decided to mark Aditya's answer on Jun 11 as the best answer because he was the first person to provide the solution.
