Replacing Sony W80. Images were often soft. Are photos from W150 sharper? More clear than a Canon 880IS? Noticeable ??

I had a Sony W80 but have to replace it. Images were often soft on it. Does the W150 have sharper, clearer images? Are they as clear as a Canon 880IS? Please reply if you've checked the photos from both. The W150 is now about $100 less. Is the 880 worth the extra $? I don't care about the extra megapixils, I shoot at 5 anyway. Please reply soon.

Check out this resource. It takes pictures with each and you can compare them side by side.

Specifically, however, they don't test the W150. But they do test the W130 and 170. So you can get a pretty good idea what the quality of the images are in the W series by comparison to the SD series from Canon.

Both lines are comparable. But at ISOs above 800, the detail really breaks down on the W series. Then again, the 880 isn't much better. So if you keep the ISO down to 800 or below, you'll be okay.
