Blurred pictures in burst mode please help!

I just purchased a sony W170 Not real educated on digital cameras but wanted something fast and be able to take several pictures in a row of my son in action just doing whatever. This camera will keep taking pictures as long as you hold down the button but there all blurry so I would like to know if anyone knows how to fix that or if I made a bad choice of cameras.

I don't necessarily think you made a bad picture choice, but remember that point and shoot cameras have a shutter lag, so as a result, it's real easy to get a blurred picture due to camera shake and just plain not getting used to the camera. You can eliminate about 80% of the lag by prefocusing and panning with the action. And you may want to initialize (reset) the camera to get it back to the factory default settings. But I'm betting you just need to take time getting used to the way the camera works.
