Zooming the photo

i was inspired by the sony w55 of my neighbour and bought a sony w 170 digi cam recently. when i take a photo and then zoom in to that photo, the more i zoom the more blurred and grains it gets, where as in w55 the photos are very clear even while zooming till last. pls suggest if there is any change that has to be made

Unfortunately, no change will really help. What you are doing is essentially blowing up the image when you zoom into it. And as you do, like any blow up, you end up with a fuzzier image.
