Why doesn't the Sony W290 camera have a view finder?

Design choice. Many people want to see images on the LCD screen after they take the picture and have become used to holding the camera away from them while taking the picture. But my preference is for a viewfinder as a larger LCD is only really good for draining your batteries faster. With ambient light, you can really see any better while taking pictures. But it's a design choice.
