Editor's Review

Canon's A-series has been their budget line, yet the features on these models are more than enough for the casual shooter. They're a little boxier than the ELPHs and certainly not as stylish, yet these latest models feature 16 megapixel sensors and decent zoom ranges. The A1300, along with the A810, runs off of AA batteries and has a 28-140mm 5x zoom. It doesn't have image stabilization or a fancy new CMOS sensor, yet for $120 you can't go too wrong. The A1300 includes a viewfinder while the A810 does not.

Canon PowerShot A1300 Reviews

Canon PowerShot A1300 Reviews by Digital Camera-HQ Users

Top quality optics, dependability, and convenience of use are just some of the reasons that customers choose Canon digital cameras. One of the most successful producers of digital cameras in the world today, Canon has attained a reputation for creating some of the best digital cameras and digital SLRs available on the market. Canon cameras are surely on the camera wish list of any consumer that desires a high quality camera. Then it should come as no surprise that Canon has won PC Magazine's Reader's Choice Award for Service and Reliability repeatedly and camera models are reviewed quite favorably on a regular basis.

Canon is not generally a cheap brand by any means. In spite of this, Canon digital cameras have achieved the best buy status. This should show you that you get great value for the extra money. Within the past few years, Canon begun making several types that are more inexpensive, without cutting quality. The Canon PowerShot A1200 is one such camera. The A1200 has a small optical viewfinder which makes it easier to shoot outdoors as well as AA batteries, as opposed to most other models that can are available at this low of a price.

The Powershot A series, the SD or ELPH series compact point-and-shoots, and the Rebel consumer dSLRs such as the T4i are just a few examples of Canon digital cameras that have highly praised across the board. The majority of Canon camera customers and aficionados are attracted by the durable design, convenience and the incredible quality of picture offered by these digital cameras. The Canon enthusiast compacts you will find in the S and G series cameras are some of the finest Canon digital cameras available. The advanced digital camera market has been dominated by these models for quite some time, because they appeal to both amateurs and professionals who require something pocketable. For instance, the Canon PowerShot G15 has a swiveling LCD screen, and a 12 megapixel sensor. It's also great for low light photography because of its very fast lens.

GPS and WiFi are features that Canon has been adding to its mid and high-end models recently to keep their cameras specifications right on the cutting edge. These better specifications differentiate the upper models from lower-end cameras, but mean that they also have a higher price tag. When buying a Canon digital camera, experts recommend that you thoroughly read Canon digital camera reviews and ratings and consult other users in order to pick the right model.
