Editor's Review

The H10 is getting on in years. It's been replaced by the H30, but can still be found for a decent price at some vendors as of January 2011. Our advice: Don't pay more than about $200 for this guy. Here's what we had to say after we reviewed it in Fall 2009:

[Read our full Casio Exilim EX-H10 review] The H10 is Casio's offering to the "fun zoom" market: a camera with a big zoom, easy enough for a novice to use but with enough advanced features to capture some nice, quality shots. This guy is actually a charm to use—the shots come out nice and crisp even at the full 10x zoom (thanks, no doubt, to the image stabilization). The 38 pre-set scene modes seem excessive, but work quite well. The vivid landscape filter is particularly fun as it churns out desktop-background-ready photos at the touch of a button. Most notably, the lithium-ion battery life is tremendous, lasting for up to 1000 shots. Overall, this is a cool little camera. We prefer the Panasonic ZS3, but if cost is an issue, feel confident choosing the H10.
