Great camera if you can handle the bulk! (CrystallineTulip — 12/02/2006)

I have nothing but good words for this camera. I have been considering upgrading to a newer one, but can't find any great reviews on the newer cameras. One thing that I love about this camera is that it works so well in low light with the flash! I'm a digital artist and I can tell you from experience you will not be disappointed with this camera. I just can't say enough about how much I love this thing.

Got What I Paid For (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

I've had mine for four years and considering I paid $150 for it I am happy. I've taken 3,000 pics & have not experienced any of the negative issues mentioned above. I did however invest $15 in chargeable batteries and charger.

Fair (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

I bought one a couple of years ago mainly because of price, I wish I had purchased a better grade camera. If I don't use the flash the pictures come out very blurry, I have to use the self timer to take non flash photos so they come out clear. The on/off switch has problems as well. Many times while taking a photo the camera will switch to view photos mode, I have to hold the on off switch all the way to the on position while trying to take a photo. Otherwise, it works. I guess you get what you pay for.

MISC (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

This was my first digital camera and I really like it because it does many things. There is one feature that it doesn't have that would be very helpful and that is telescopic capabilities. I can zoom in & out but pulling things in closer would be a definite plus! I do need some help with this camera. Recently my computer went south & I had to take it to be fixed. I need the software/disc to reload the program for the camera.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Blurry images, Over exposes in high light (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

I hate this camera. It is very susceptible to movement and blurs many pictures. We recently took a trip to Dominca and every day time picture was overexposed to the point of being almost invisible. I had returned to the store with these complaints shortly after our purchase and they took pix inside and told me all was fine. If you get a chance to buy a used one RUN !

Not worth the money (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

this was a gift and the LCD screen has already gone out. The camera shop where it was bought refuses to do anything and says there's no recall from Fuji or any help to fix the problem.

Great Investment (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

I (we) use our 2650 on a daily basis. I just upgraded to a 512mb chip from the original 16.
This camera has great value for the bucks. I have taken pictures that are very close to what a high end camera would take. The LCD screen is great, the video works very well. The macro is a great asset.
All in all, a great camera.

not worth it (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

I have 3 digital cameras, I bought this one for work to keep in my truck, everytime I use it I have to replace the batteries and I use it very little. Also won't take pictures at times, shuts down when you press the button. A friend of mine has the same one and has the same problems. Not worth $25.00

Not Bad, but I Want to Upgrade (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

I've had this camera about 2 years. I bought it for taking pictures of my kids and scrapbooking. It takes nice quality outdoor photos, but I have been disappointed in the indoor photos. I have tried to take pictures of concerts, dance recitals, etc. and it was not worth the effort. The indoor photos of these types of events were such poor quality I rarely even printed or processed them. For family photos, Christmas morning, etc., I have had much better luck turning off the flash on indoor photos. The quality has been decent doing this.

I have some nice photo editing software that I use a lot. I've tried to zoom in or crop photos. These typically turn out poor. However, with all due respect, that's not so much a function of this particular camera as much as a function of the 2 MPixel size (bigger is better, at least to a point).

The zoom is weak (3X), which has been a drawback for me. I would like to be able to tell which one is my child! If cost is an issue (it was with me), you have to at least have either higher MPixels or better zoom, I won't sacrifice both again.

The video is decent quality, but no sound. Not an issue for capturing soccer games, but kind of a disappointment for a play your child is in!

Overall, it's not a bad camera. I would consider a Fuji again, based on my experience with this one. But, for my next camera I am anxiously awaiting a Canon PowerShot S1 IS!!

Extremely pleased with quality (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

This little camera goes everywhere with me and has proved to be very reliable. I have found that if you will buy the Energizer Lithium batteries they will last a lot longer than other brands. Takes great pictures even from this armature. Easy to use, quality pictures, and easy to download and print.

durable (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

I bought the 2650 with no intentions of being a photographer, now that is what i plan to go to college for... In the over 2 years i have owned my fuji i have taken nearly 5,000 pictures from snowing and below zero to over 100 degrees outside. I take it everywhere, i have dropped it a million times, and it just keeps working like the day i bought it. Also for a 2 mp camera it has amazing pictures i have won about 6 armature photo contest using my 2650. I have not a single complaint about it and consider it to be worth every dollar.

The camera takes excellent 4 x 6 inch pictures, but the reliability of the camera is poor. I have had two of these cameras. The first one broke after 18 months (the lenses would not move in/out). After the first camera broke, I bought another one, and this one broke after 6 months. In this case, the green light will come on for only approximately 1 second and then go blank after switching the camera to the "on" switch. Because of this problem, it is impossible to take a picture or review my pictures. At the present time, I am in the process of returning this camera to the factory. Hopefully, they will repair it free. Will keep you posted on the results. Hopefully, they will fix it free, and my problem will be taken care of. As stated earlier, the camera does not take excellent pictures, but the durability/reliability of the 2650 cameras that I have owned have not been very good.

Ok camera (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

This camera is not bad for a 2 MP camera. But at this point, you'd be better off spending a little bit more money for a 3MP or even 4MP camera. The delay is annoyingly slow (common in digital cameras) and sometimes, without the flash on in lower light conditions (NOT dark) it causes the pictures to blur..also annoying. I'm saving up for a Canon A95 which is an EXCELLENT camera.

Awesome pics!! (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

I love this camera. The pics are crisp & clean. Great color. As good or better than some of the more $$ cameras I've seen. Very easy to use. Love the zoom. You do need good batteries though.

Great Camera If you're looking for.............. (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

This is a great camera for a great price. I am now upgrading my camera to a much more professional model as I am getting into photography.
This camera will stun you when you see the pictures on the computer or printed, because they are so crisp and the color is beautiful. I just need more power. The camera only has a 3X optical zoom, which holds you back a little. However, if you lower the resolution you can zoom further.

Great battery life (don't buy off-brand AA's, they'll wear out very quick).

Great camera for the money. I've had mine 2 years and never had a problem and taken thousands of pictures with it.

Does everything it promises! (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

The camera (incl. 256MB picture card, and a few spare batteries) came with me on a 2-month trip to Europe: It performed flawlessly!

Fantastic (anonymous — 07/18/2006)
