Hey! You should know that Fuji has released a newer version of this product: the Fujifilm FinePix AV200.

Fuji FinePix A150

We've given the A150 a grade of C.

Editor's Review

The A150 is out of production, replaced by a newer model. Here's what we had to say when it was released in March 2009:

The compact, approachable Fuji FinePix A150 is a simple point-and-shoot digital camera intended for budget consumers. It does have some fancy features, like the 3.0-inch LCD display, and is a very thin, portable camera. Not much to get excited about, but for novice photographers it might be a good selection.

cheap... (Ryan — 12/05/2010)
I probably spent more on batteries than I spent on the camera, it goes through 'em FAST, and it could be a little more shock-resistant. I dropped it from about 3 feet today onto a carpeted floor and now it won't turn on. I think it's done for good.

Battery problem (Fuijfilm Hater — 03/25/2010)
The camera gives a battery warning immedieatly after 2-3 shots on fully charged batteries and 10-15 pictures on brand new batteries. I dont know why fujifilm prodcues such junk products.

Battery life!!! (Graeme Smith — 01/26/2010)
I'd like to agree with the other reviewers re: battery life. I got about 20 pictures from brand new Duracel batteries before the warning light begins to flash. Rechargeable batteries? Forget it. Fully charged energizer batteries yield an immediate warning light and if I'm lucky I get 2 or 3 shots before the camera turns itself off. As another reviewer notes - the supposedly exhausted batteries are nothing of the sort and can be placed into other electronic equipment and used quite happily. Sadly, a quick check of this and other sites show that this camera gets high ratings over and over again which will lead people to buy it (as I did) only to find that its a useless piece of junk to be honest.

fuji a150 review (tony — 04/13/2009)

FinePix A150 Digital Camera is an entry level piece with rich functionalities.
Fuji FinePix A150 Digital Camera has a resolution of 10 mega-pixels. A higher sensor resolution is helpful in delivering better quality images. The images can be viewed either on your computer using the camera’s USB interface, or on your television using the video-out port or on the camera’s 3-inch LCD screen. The camera has built in memory of 20MB which can be increased using SD or MMC memory cards. It also benefits from the use of rechargeable AA's.
The camera comes with a 3x optical zoom and a digital zoom of about 5.7x. The camera has a high light sensitivity factor of ISO 1600.
With Face Detection Technology that can track faces to adjust the focus and exposure settings for a realistic portrait shot its a dream for family photos. It has 15 scenic modes to choose from for optimum shooting experience. A first class budget camera that you cant go wrong with, highly recommended.
